From Kurdistan to Palestine, from Greece to the Philippines, Chicago to Gezi – young people continue to take to the streets to protest against imperialism, war, fascism, capitalism, and patriarchy.

As revolutionary youth from different backgrounds, we are organising together against oppression and exploitation, for freedom, equality, and justice and for a socialist revolution.

We want change!

Young Struggle is an open socialist youth organisation active in several European countries. We organise as young people in various areas such as school, university, or work. Wherever we are, we want to take the change we desire into our own hands: We fight against capitalism, fascism, racism, sexism, LGBTI+ hostility, environmental destruction, and war. We know that young people must play an important role in all these struggles, and we want to prepare ourselves for this together, because capitalism, with all its crises, offers us no future. In our local groups, we collectively organise actions, education, events, platforms, and above all, ourselves, to fight against the capitalist and patriarchal system.

We need a Revolution!

We want to fight for a society based on solidarity, in which profits do not dictate the course of development, but rather social progress. In order to organise a beautiful life for all, capitalism, this system that exploits and oppresses us all, must be smashed, and this can only be achieved through socialist revolution.

Long live International Solidarity!

Although we do not speak the same language, come from different parts of the world, and have different histories, we have one thing in common: We are oppressed by the same system, and it has nothing more to offer us. We stand behind progressive, revolutionary, and anti-capitalist movements worldwide by organising international solidarity in our cities and continuing these struggles here. It is the European powers behind the wars, exploitation, and oppression we see today.

Anti-fascist united front and Migrant Self-Defense

Under this system, we are subjected to narratives wanting to divide us be it in media we consume and schools and sports clubs etc. we attend. Racism and discrimination against migrants, deportations, and murders at the EU’s borders are just a few examples of how “Fortress Europe” is being maintained by any means necessary. We want to tear down those borders for a society based on solidarity, without racist discrimination.

German antifascist rightly call the slogan “The state and Nazis go hand in hand!” We are aware of the connections between fascists and the state. While the list of victims of fascist and racist attacks grows longer, those who resist are consistently criminalised. But our united resistance is stronger than any form of oppression!

Abolish the Patriarchy!

Sexist remarks, unequal opportunities and wages, exploitation in the home and workplace, violence against women: We are filled with rage against a system that treats us as second-class citizens. We see our organisation as a necessary step toward our liberation, because our oppression has many facets and is reflected in all areas of our lives. For us, this means breaking down patriarchal structures, which we believe is intrinsically linked to the class struggle. However, this does not mean that we will wait until after the socialist revolution to achieve gender liberation; we will start organising the women’s revolution today. We women will liberate ourselves!

Struggling in all shades of the Rainbow!

LGBTI+ people are experiencing increasing discrimination and oppression within society. We see how the existence of LGBTI+ people is denied and how we have always been excluded from social life. The LGBTI+ struggle is one against heterosexism and patriarchy, one for our existence, and it can only be fought together with those struggling for women’s liberation. Let us organise against this heterosexist system!

War on war!

Every day, people are suffering wars paid for by our states’ money and weapons exports. European money flows for the profits of European capitalists. We broadly mobilise against the imperialists’ war policies in order to stand up against the ruling class of this world. We organise against all imperialist wars and attacks and try to create an anti-militarist and anti-colonial consciousness in society. They attack our resistance, they support fascist dictatorships, they exploit us here at work and let the police treat us like dirt. Our patience is at an end!

They are also destroying the climate in our home countries for their own profits and forcing millions of people to flee.

We are committed to a revolutionary environmental struggle because we want more from the future than a destroyed Earth and the remaining years we have left on it. Imperialist foreign policy is responsible on so many levels for the mass displacement from our homelands. Let us stand up against it in an organised manner at all levels!

No Hope without Revolutionary Culture!

As socialists, we are not only concerned with fundamentally changing our economic and political system, but also with bringing about change in all areas of life. Under capitalism, we are expected to believe, feel, and think what this system expects of us in order to serve the interests of the ruling class. We are already fighting to develop and renew ourselves, combating patriarchal ideas and bourgeois values and countering them with a revolutionary culture. In our associations, joint projects, and camps, we create a collective and supportive community characterised by mutual respect and the common good, without competition, selfishness, or ruthlessness.

Our Struggle is Justified!

In this system, we cannot help but be political. We will no longer endure suffering, oppression, and exploitation. Our struggle aims to end all of this, for ourselves and for future generations. However, the bourgeois states will never willingly relinquish the power they have over us and will use violence as a means to break our resistance. Thousands of people around the world are in prison because they fought for justice. Let us resist the violence of the state with our solidarity and determination to bring about change!

Let Us Organise Our Future!

We, the revolutionary youth of Young Struggle, believe in a better future that offers prospects for young people in particular and equal opportunities for all. A future in which we can realise our full potential, in which our abilities are nurtured, our talents discovered, and our interests awakened. A future that is not marked by unemployment, exclusion, ignorance, or hatred, in which we are victims of a system that has made it its mission to despise and oppress people. We see the need to organise for a new society against capitalism, so that human needs are at the forefront and our lives are not determined by the compulsion to increase profits and the greed of a few.

A future in which we lead self-determined, dignified, and free lives—a classless society!

Without overcoming capitalism, there is no future for us!
