Declaration for 8th of march.

Take Action for International Women’s Day!
All out for women’s revolution this 8th of March!
Women across the world have taken to the streets for equality, justice, and against violence for decades. This year, the tradition will be no different. We too will be on the streets in cities across different countries, and we call on every young person to join the struggle. In particular, we want young women to take to the streets with thousands of sisters worldwide. Under the same banner, we call on every young person to join efforts in advancing the women’s liberation struggle. Go seek out local meetings, banner painting, postering neighbourhoods, or reading circles!
Under intensifying militarisation and the progression of neo-fascist movements, the oppression of women increases. Imperialists and the warmongering bourgeoisie are closing down women’s centres and investing in warmachines. Meanwhile, as states refuse to protect women, femicides rise to record numbers. In Germany, nearly one woman is killed every day; in France more that one is killed every three days; For every sister murdered at the hands of men, we rise and we fight!
Women’s rage has only multiplied with the release and exposure of the disgusting Epstein files. Systematic abuse of women and children marked the past year with the exposure of multiple sexual crimes—from Gisèle Pelicot’s abuser husband to abuse in custody in both Israeli and Turkish prisons, and police officer assaults. On the other side, the victims gathered their courage and spoke out—for all those who are not given the opportunity to do so. In this spirit, we want to approach this year’s International Women’s Day: showing this rotting system that it did not succeed in breaking our will to struggle.
This unquestionably links to the women’s revolution in Rojava, Kurdistan. Despite continued attacks from all sides, the women fighters of the YPJ held their braided heads high. It is their legacy of defeating ISIS by taking up arms and fighting side by side with their sisters. We want to remember this when organising 8th March actions wherever we are.
Many women will make use of one of our strongest weapons on Monday, 9th March this year: the women’s strike. Putting down cleaning, cooking, tools, care work, or any other work for a day. On this 9th of March, we will carry on the legacy of women who fought for their liberation—to the streets and in our strike!
Against militarisation, exploitation, and the invisibilisation of women’s labour, we call on all women to stop any form of work on this day.
