Resolution of the 12th YS Germany Congress

Resolution of the 12th YS Germany Congress
From May 23 to 24, 2026, the 12th Young Struggle Germany Congress took place under the slogan
“Trust in the Class, Trust in the Struggle – Our Goal: Socialism, Youth Forward!”. From 14 cities,
young people gathered to discuss the perspectives and tasks of our organization, accompanied by
the flags of our fallen comrades Ivana Hoffmann and Özgür Namoğlu.
The Congress identified the central task for the coming period as building an anti-war movement
among the youth to prevent a Third World War and to win young people over for socialism. The
Congress sends greetings to the political prisoners in Turkey and Kurdistan, in the Zionist prisons,
and in all prisons worldwide, as well as to the women of the resistance in Rojava!
We look back on an intense and successful period. Particularly in internationalist work on Palestine
and Kurdistan, as well as the youth strike and the women’s strike, successes were achieved that
must be built upon in the coming year. Through participation in the flotilla and the caravan, young
socialist women in particular stepped forward and proved that they will not be held back by borders.
Prevent the Imminent Threat of World War III and Fascism
The congress concluded that the imperialists are preparing for a Third World War. The genocide in
Palestine, military activities in Iran, Lebanon, Venezuela, and Cuba, as well as the existential threat
to the Rojava Revolution, demonstrate this very clearly. Germany is rearming and, in the process,
attacking hard-won gains of the working class, such as the 8-hour workday. Cuts are being made in
education, social services, healthcare, and culture. Patriarchal violence is on the rise, but more and
more women and LGBTI+ people are breaking the silence and taking to the streets. At the same
time, Germany maintains close cooperation with other imperialist states. In alliances like NATO or
at summits like the G7, the imperialists come together to coordinate their strategies and advance
their cooperation. Meanwhile, the proletarian youth and the oppressed of this world are responding
to this with ever-increasing resistance!
Building a Youth Movement Against War!
Current developments make it clear: It is time to build a class-struggle, internationalist youth
movement against war under revolutionary leadership. With this as its guiding principle, the
congress discussed a wide range of YS’s practical activities. Whether in schools, universities,
training and workplaces, neighborhoods, youth clubs, households, social media, and in young
people’s free time—mobilization against war must take place in all areas of young people’s lives.
Youth boycotts and strikes must be further developed as a crucial method in this struggle. From
education to self-determination: We will not let any of our hard-won rights be taken away!
The Congress stands in deep solidarity with all international liberation struggles, especially those of
the Kurdish and Palestinian people. The socialist perspective for the liberation of Kurdistan must be
continuously promoted, and international solidarity with the Kurdish people among the youth must
be strengthened. Participation in cultural events such as the 11th Ivana Hoffmann Festival and the
Third Özgür Namoğlu Soccer Tournament are important opportunities for this.
In these increasingly tense times, many young people are becoming politically active, but many also
fall into despair and hopelessness. We will address this in the coming period through political and
ideological work that promotes socialism as a perspective for youth against loneliness and a lack of
prospects.
Against Patriarchal Violence – For the Women’s Revolution
Sexism and patriarchal violence are defining issues in the lives of young women. As a mixed
gender organization, we need autonomous women’s spaces and a strong commitment to the struggle
for women’s liberation. That is why we want to join the women’s strike for collective bargaining in
June 2027 and expand on the women’s strike on March 8. To spread the women’s revolution, a
campaign against sexualized violence will be conducted around March 8. In this effort, socialist
men must also intensify their work against patriarchal masculinity.
United against state repression and fascist attacks!
As military buildup intensifies, so does the repression against revolutionaries and progressive
forces. In light of the numerous reports of torture, transphobic and sexist violence perpetrated by
state repressive authorities worldwide, it is our duty to fight with even more determination for
socialism and the women’s revolution. Young Struggle sets itself the goal of responding to sexist
and transphobic attacks by the state with resistance.
To counter fascist agitation and organizing among the working class, it is necessary to offer young
people a perspective beyond fascist lies and to stand resolutely against fascist attacks in broad
alliances. The struggle against deportations and the organization of solidarity among youth and the
working class are an important part of the struggle against rising fascism and preparations for war.
Furthermore, we defend the right to political protest, strikes, and self-organization against war and
conscription.
With Confidence Toward Victory!
The times demand that socialist youth step forward courageously. In doing so, collectivism, a belief
in socialism, and confidence in the power of youth are essential. We must continue to build on these
ideological foundations in the coming period. In doing so, those who have fallen, such as the 33
Suruç Immortals, as well as the numerous socialists and revolutionaries who remain steadfast in
prison, serve as role models for us.
Youth, Future, Socialism!
